NewsMarch 1, 2012 Dr. Leigh O'Brien Presents to ParentsThe PEI Literacy Alliance presents: Dr. Leigh O'Brien will present a 30-minute talk about her life as the mother of a daughter with identified disabilities. She will share what she has learned about inclusion in education. Inclusive education means ensuring all students are educated with their peers and have equitable access to learning and achievement in the education system. Her daughter Lydia, age 18, will speak briefly about her own journey through the education system, both the challenges and successes. There will be time for comments, questions, and related stories from the audience.
