Plain Language Workshops

The PEI Literacy Alliance offers two workshops in plain language and clear design for public education materials.

Cut the Gobbledegook: An Introduction to Plain Language

This full day workshop explores the basics of plain language editing and clear design.

It provides opportunities for practice in plain language editing on your own and other materials. It offers suggestions for clear design that will help you get your message across.

We negotiate the cost for each workshop.  We provide all resource materials and a nutrition break. There is a maximum of 20 participants.

Looking Better in Print: Effective Print Communication

This workshop will be of interest to anyone involved in preparing publications such as posters, brochures and newsletters etc. It is a hands-on workshop exploring effective layout and design techniques for print materials.

Plain Language Editing Service

The PEI Literacy Alliance offers a plain language editing service. We will review your documents for plain language and make recommendations about language and design. We provide an estimate of the cost before we begin.
