We raise public awareness on issues related to literacy.
We create partnerships for literacy projects.
We coordinate conferences, workshops and round tables.
We provide information on and referral to literacy training and upgrading
programs in PEI.
We produce a quarterly newsletter.
We advise government and educational institutions about programs
and services to improve literacy levels. Why are we here?
The PEI Literacy Alliance advances literacy for the people of Prince Edward
Island.
We decrease gaps and overlaps in literacy services to adult learners and
their families.
We reduce barriers to people with low literacy
levels.
We inform Islanders about the costs of low literacy.
We celebrate and value literacy across PEI. |
